Rio will re-open beaches on weekdays, beginning April 26

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - A new decree from Mayor Eduardo Paes, published this Friday, April 23, in the Municipal Gazette, revokes the prohibition of beachgoers on the sand and releases, in addition to staying on the shore, sea bathing, but only on weekdays. Vendors will also be free to work on the sand and can also return to work on weekdays.

Reinfected, Paes remains in quarantine. The new measures were announced by the Secretary of Finance and Planning, Pedro Paulo Carvalho.
