  • Classics and Successes of the Cinema / Film Club
    The CCJF film club chooses to show films that have marked the history of cinema and for their success with audiences and/or critics. The intention is to encourage and facilitate the habit of going to the cinema, as well as public access to the titles available in its library.

  • Topografias Imaginadas (Imagined Topographies) / photography
    The exhibition combining Edu Monteiro, Jaques Faing, José Diniz, Luiz Alberto Guimarães, and Luiz Baltar shows expressive articulations of cartography unbounded by maps. The invited artists start from reality to build other spaces, which are the expression of both the soul of things and the porosity of life.

  • Rio Branco, 241 – Justiça e Cultura (Justice and Culture) / History
    The bilingual exhibition shows a retrospective of the occupation of the Federal Supreme Court’s original building, focusing on the trajectory to becoming the Federal District Court in Rio de Janeiro. Its panels tell the story, from the creation of the Federal Courts of First and Second Instance to the restoration works and establishment of the Federal Courthouse Cultural Center, including remarkable facts about the history of Federal Courts in this building.

    The project is characterized by the building of new audiences, encouraging the presence of children and youths. The series includes genres ranging from classical to contemporary and mixes new talents and well-known musicians.

  • Quintet Lorenzo Fernandes / concert
    The Quintet Lorenzo Fernandes, formed by Rômulo Barbosa (flute), Juliana Bravim, (oboe), César Bonan (clarinet), Alessandro Jeremias (horn) and Jeferson Souza (bassoon) will present a concert with original songs for wind quintets, composed by great national and international masters and by young composers of the current generation.

    The series presents the program ‘Cordas’ (“Strings”) in a concert with the participation of Trio Ágora, formed by Ayran Nicodemo and Thalita Vieira (violins) and Ana Luiza Lopes (viola), full of the rich sounds of the string instruments. Prelude 21 is composed by Alexandre Schubert, Caio Senna, J. Orlando Alves, Marcos Lucas, Neder Nassaro and Pauxy Gentil-Nunes.

    Be entertained by the performance that marked Anna Netrebko’s debut in the title role, surrounded by a cast that includes mezzo-soprano Elina Garanca and bass Ildebrando D’Arcangelo. Conductor Evelino Pidò conducts the Vienna Opera choir and orchestra in this scenic production by Eric Genovèse.

  • Choral Singing Association Series / concert
    The Opera Nucleus and the ACC Symphonic Choir present excerpts from Gaetano Donizetti’s opera Lucia di Lammermoor, with libretto by Salvatore Cammarano. This is considered one of the most representative works of Donizetti’s production, together with Don Pasquale and L’elisir d’amore.

    Inspired by the format of the last show Gonzaguinha performed, the musical surrounds the audience with the artist’s beautiful and timeless songs, through an intimate presentation, using the voice and the guitar, while narrating remarkable episodes of the trajectory of the famous composer of Brazilian Popular Music (MPB).

    The course aims to present the history of modernist architecture and to discuss it in relation to Mario Pedrosa’s ideas. In the second lesson, the plastic expression of concrete will be analyzed together in Brazilian modernism, starting with Oscar Niemeyer
    and Affonso Eduardo Reidy and the tiles of Cândido Portinari and Athos Bulcão.

    (Machado de Assis – Life and Work / Round Table)
    The Educational Sector of the Federal Courthouse Cultural Center will bring back the Machado de Assis initiative, introducing the writer’s life and work in a playful way. After his life is narrated through the staging of some parts of his work, there will be a dramatized reading of one of his stories.
