Michelle’s test result came days after President Jair Bolsonaro announced he was cured of Covid-19. The President reported that his test had come back positive on July 7th. He spent the following days working from his official residence. On Saturday, July 25th, he announced that he no longer had the virus.

The first lady lives with Bolsonaro and their daughters Leticia and Laura at the official residence, the Alvorada Palace.

On Wednesday, July 2th, Michelle took part in a ceremony at the Planalto Palace, in which she gave a speech. The first lady attended the ceremony alongside the president and wore a mask.
