Venezuelan oil production grows 23.8 % in 2022, according to OPEC

Venezuela’s oil production grew by 23.8 percent during 2022, with respect to the previous year, the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) revealed today in its most recent report for January.

OPEC details that, during 2021, Venezuela had an average production of 553,000 barrels per day (bd), while last year, the average rose to 685,000 bd.

The second quarter of last year was the period of the highest crude oil production in the country, the same in which it averaged 714,000 bd.

The report published today by OPEC is based on independent sources under the supervision of experts in the field.

Venezuela is a member of the organization above, born in 1960, and is one of its five founding nations with Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia.

The Venezuelan government has emphatically vindicated the oil production agreements signed in the coalition of oil-producing countries known as OPEC+, to stabilize the international energy market.
