The former president of Bolivia, Evo Morales, has once again lashed out against the government of Peru, led by Dina Boluarte, assuring that the United States is in charge of the cabinet.
“Let the world know President Dina Boluarte does not govern Peru.”
“Peru is governed by the US and the joint command of the US Armed Forces.”
“I do not want to think that sister Dina has become one more employee of the US”, said the former president through his social networks.
“The Peruvian right-wing attacks and persecutes us.”
“We do not defend human rights out of interference, we do it, and we will continue to do it out of conviction. Deep Peru has awakened”, added the leader of the Movement Towards Socialism (MAS) party.
Morales’ repeated criticisms of Boluarte since she has been in power – after the removal of Pedro Castillo in December 2022 – have led to the prohibition of the Bolivian politician‘s trip to Peru for considering that he has incurred in activities “of a proselytizing nature” for having interceded in favor of the former Peruvian president.
