The digital vaccination certificate against Covid-19 has the following features: It can be downloaded and printed; it contains a QR code (which guarantees its authenticity and reliability); it is free of charge and is issued in English or Spanish.

It will also contain approved information, such as the first and last name of the vaccinated person, type of ID, identification number, date of birth, country of birth, contact phone number, email, dose received, batch of vaccine used, type of vaccine, vaccination center, date of application, country of vaccination, digital seal, date of issuance of the document and the QR code with encrypted information about the citizen and the authentication procedure of the certificate.

To increase the security of citizens, the download of the digital vaccination certificate will be accompanied by a security question.

In his statement, the Colombian president confirmed that the vaccination target will be 41 million people, surpassing the 35 million estimated at the beginning of 2021.

With this increase in the number of vaccinated, Duque said, it is confirmed that Colombia will reach the so-called herd immunity by the end of this year.

The Colombian health minister explained that the certificate would be useful for all citizens if it is required to enter a specific place or country.
