Brazil Passes Cumulative 90,000 Deaths and 2.5 Million Covid-19 Infections

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – According to the Covid-19 Epidemiological Bulletin released yesterday, July 29th, by the Ministry of Health, Brazil has counted 90,134 deaths from the disease since the start of the pandemic.

The total of people infected since the beginning of the count has reached 2,552,265. In the past 24 hours, 69,074 new notifications have been incorporated into the Ministry of Health’s system. On Sunday, the total was 2,483,191.

There are 675,712 patients under follow-up and 1,787,419 people have recovered from Covid-19.

There were 1,595 new records of deaths in the past 24 hours. The high figure was due to the inclusion of previously backlogged data from São Paulo on Tuesday. In the balance released by the Ministry of Health, the panel marked 88,539 deaths.

Covid-19 in the states

The states with the most deaths by Covid-19 are São Paulo (21,676), Rio de Janeiro (13,033), Ceará (7,643), Pernambuco (6,484), and Pará (5,694).

The states with the fewest deaths from the pandemic are Mato Grosso do Sul (328), Tocantins (364), Roraima (493), Acre (510), and Amapá (449).
