Since the pandemic began in the first quarter of 2020, Argentina has reported 3.371 million cases and 71,771 deaths.

According to data compiled by Reuters, the daily average of infections and deaths reported by Argentina puts the country among the worst five in the world.

“This higher number of cases results from saying that life needs to go on as if nothing happened. A severe problem is happening in Argentina, which is the pandemic, a virus that kills us and infects us,” President Alberto Fernandez said Tuesday in an interview with Radio 10.
