Bolsonaro: It Hurts to See Brazilians Blind to Campaign Against Our Sovereignty

In the same tweet, there is a video with an excerpt from an interview with General Eduardo Villas Boas, granted to journalist Pedro Bial in September 2017.

Villas Boas speaks of an operation from the time he commanded the Amazon and was warned by a battalion commander that the king of Norway was in an indigenous village.

“There is a sovereignty deficit,” the general said in the interview, noting that 84 percent of the Amazon’s forest is preserved, while in Europe it is only 0.3 percent. “No European country has the authority to teach us how to care for the environment,” he said in the interview.
