Brazil’s Bolsonaro government achieves highest surplus in 6 years in October

Brazil's Bolsonaro government posted a surplus of R$30.8 (US$5.8) billion in October. This was the highest primary result for the month since 2016.

The National Treasury released the report this Tuesday (Nov. 29).

The primary result is formed by revenues (such as tax collection) against expenditures. It does not account for interest payments on the debt.
