Tuesday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Central Cultural Carioca hosts a night of classic Brazilian music. Singer and songwriter Ivo Senra has shared the stage with many Brazilian artists. This year launches the beginning of his first solo project, exploring new avenues and possibilities for Brazilian instrumental music.

Doiz (Humaitá)
If you haven’t been to Doiz yet, then you are missing a real treat. A nice blend of bar/restaurant and lounge, this new hotspot is quickly getting rave reviews. With incredibly creative drinks and DJs, Doiz is a great way to wind the weekend down.

Noite Jazzmania (Arpoador)
In honor of the space’s former function as a jazz bar, Tuesdays are jazz night at Studio RJ. If you have not yet been to this incredible space, then you are missing out on a classy live lounge with an ocean view.

Bip Bip owes its fame to an outstanding musical program. Sunday nights are the best evenings to catch some great samba or pagode. It’s not unusual to see some Brazilian greats such as Beth Carvalho, Nelson Sargento, Walter Alfaiate, and others come out to sing and play.
