Friday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Highlights from Friday night at Rock in Rio include most of the Palco Sunset — Buraka Som Sistema, Céu, and Monobloco — as well as late night DJ action with Gui Borrato, Guy Gerber, and Luciano. An added bonus for early arrivals is Marcelo D2 on the World Stage at 7PM.

The mega-concert event host Shakira, Lenny Kravitz, and Ivete Sangalo on the main Palco Mundo (World Stage), with countless others around the City of Rock.

Gororoba! (Santa Teresa)
The Friday night shenanigans at a big ol’ house in Santa return, with DJs, film screenings, live poetry, art exhibits, and everyone’s favorite: free vegetarian yakisoba at 4AM.

Histeria + Shufflin’ (Botafogo)
Two classics of the Zona Sul indie/electro rock party scene get together for a two-floor battle at Casa de Matriz.

Palco Musa (Botafogo)
Don’t envision Saloon 79 as anything else other than Rio’s grungiest dive bar. That said, you will still have a ball listening to Brazilians play indie rock at Palco Musa with the band Ramirez celebrating their second album.
