Venezuela invites Guyana to resume talks to solve territorial dispute

The Venezuelan Government released this Friday an official communiqué through which it invites the Cooperative Republic of Guyana to resume talks leading to an eventual agreement regarding the territorial controversy that both nations have over the territory of the Essequiba Guiana.

"Venezuela reiterates its cordial invitation to the Government of Guyana to resume the path of political negotiation regarding the dispute over the territory of the Essequiba Guiana, as established in the Geneva Agreement signed on February 17, 1966", reads the text dated today in Caracas.
