The folder released the data on Wednesday, 24.

Conducted by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), the harvest survey done in April surprised me positively, forecasting a higher increase in the grain harvest this year.

“Besides this, the daily average of pork and chicken exports kept growing from the same period of the previous year”, informed the folder.

According to the IBGE, Brazilian farmers will have a record yearly grain harvest.

The most current estimate from the institute foresees the production of 300 million tonnes of grains, pulses, and oilseeds.

Thus, an expansion of almost 15% over the 2022 production is estimated.

At the forefront of the sector are soybeans (150 million tonnes) and corn (120 million tonnes).

Between January and April, the country’s revenue from pork and chicken exports reached a little more than US$4 billion.

The figure represents a growth of 20% over the invoicing in the same period of the previous year, according to data from the Brazilian Agricultural Observatory.
