A replica of the famous Fontana di Trevi, located in Rome, Italy, has been inaugurated in the city of Serra Negra, in the countryside of the state of São Paulo.
Its purpose is to pay tribute to the Italian community and promote tourism in the town.
According to information from the city hall, the replica is 11 meters high from the water mirror and 20.7 meters wide – smaller than the original, which is 26 meters high but 20 meters wide.
Nine nozzles that distribute water to the entire fountain and 40 underwater light projectors were activated.
The investment for the construction was a little over R$ 1.3 million in resources from the City Hall and the Government of the State of São Paulo.
