A part of a popular Mexican beach resort caught fire on the afternoon of April 3 on the beaches of Acapulco, Guerrero, just as the holiday period for Easter celebrations gets underway.
It is the El Rollo water park on the Miguel Alemán coast, one of the most popular and crowded areas of Acapulco’s beaches.
Videos of the fire, whose causes are still being investigated by the authorities, were disseminated on social networks.

According to the company that operates the Water Park, the fire spread due to “external causes unrelated to our operation and processes of the company, causing only material damage.”
“We are cleaning and removing debris to resume the daily work of our park,” said El Rollo.

According to testimonies gathered by local media, the employees put out the fire with buckets.
