Direct flights between Brazil and Peru

Low-cost airline Sky Airlines has started selling cheap flight tickets between São Paulo and Lima, Peru.

The flights will start in July and are already available.

Depending on availability on the official website, flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays in both directions and will last approximately 5 hours.

Sky Airlines (which already operates flights between Brazil and Chile) is the first low-cost airline to offer direct flights between Brazil and Peru.

Still, it is expected to face competition soon as JetSmart, another low-cost carrier, has also expressed interest in operating flights between 12 cities in Brazil and Peru.

Currently, the route from São Paulo is only served by Latam.

The greater availability should increase competition in the market and lower the (very high) prices.

It should be remembered that under the Sky and JetSmart models, all additional services are charged at the lowest rates.

The lowest fare includes only one item, such as a handbag or backpack that fits under the seat.

Seat reservations, checked baggage, meals, rebooking, and other services are chargeable.
