Maduro says the China-Venezuela relationship is at its best level ever

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro stressed this March 27 that the relationship between China and his country is at the highest level of trust and mutual collaboration in their entire history during the farewell and decoration ceremony of the ambassador of China in Caracas, Li Baorong.

“Today, the relations between great China and the homeland of Bolivar, our homeland Venezuela, have reached their best level of mutual trust, of collaboration, of work.”

“Relations are at the highest level, at the best level ever between China and Venezuela,” said the President during a broadcast on the state-owned Venezuelan TV channel Venezolana de Televisión.

Maduro tweeted:

“In an emotional act, I decorated Li Baorong, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Venezuela, with the ‘Francisco de Miranda’ Order.”

“We are honored to recognize the work, effort, and work of a true friend who was always with our People in these five years of struggle.”

Maduro awarded the Francisco de Miranda Order in its First Class to Li Baorong, who concluded his diplomatic cycle in the South American country.

At the ceremony, the President described as “wonderful” the effort made by the ambassador of the Asian nation during the five years of his tenure and stressed that Caracas and Beijing have a shared vision of all the spaces of the United Nations (UN) system.

“Venezuela has been and will be on the front line of the battle for truth, denouncing and supporting the desire for Peace and the peaceful exercise of sovereignty of sister China in the face of aggressions and provocations that seek to generate an escalation of conflict and violence.”

The President rejected the “permanent provocations” to try to manipulate the exclusive issues of China’s sovereignty and warned about the pretensions of “creating blocks in the style of the Cold War to impose blackmail and hegemonism in the countries of the South”.

For his part, the ambassador thanked the Venezuelan President for the recognition and affirmed that Venezuela and China are currently “more united” for the welfare of both nations.
