Brazil: Ministry of Culture launches public notice to take entrepreneurs to Argentina

The Ministry of Culture (MinC) has recently published a public notice that foresees up to R$793,000 (US$153,400) in incentives to send 90 entrepreneurs to Argentina to participate in a cultural event in Buenos Aires.

The Argentine Cultural Industries Market (MICA) will occur on June 1-4 at the Kirchner Cultural Center.

The cultural fomentation, destined by MinC, foresees the benefit for up to 90 entrepreneurs of the audiovisual, circus, dance, theater, design, editorial, electronic games (games), hip hop, and music sectors.

The folder’s “idea” is that the entrepreneurs participate in the business rounds and formative activities of the 7th event in Argentina.

The funds will also guarantee the permanence of the selected entrepreneurs in the city and ensure their return to Brazil.

OPEN COFFERS AT THE MINC

During the Summer Festival in Salvador on January 29, the Minister of Culture, Margareth Menezes, confirmed as a priority to restructure the incentive laws and, mainly, to direct resources to cultural projects outside the Rio-São Paulo axis.

In January, the Executive Branch released R$1 billion to artists through the Rouanet Law.
