The São Sebastião City Hall has set up a structure in the historic center of the municipality to hold collective wakes.

The Rio-Santos highway (SP-055) had its traffic partially released by the DER (Department of Highways) at several previously blocked points between São Sebastião and Ubatuba.

Governor Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans) has reinforced the request for tourists to take advantage of the highway clearances and the periods of fair weather and leave the cities on the northern coast.

The intention is to relieve the pressure on the services operating at their limits.

On Wednesday, the Tamoios highway (SP-099) implemented Operation Uphill to help the movement of tourists leaving the northern coast of São Paulo.

During the operation, one lane of the old lane and two lanes of the new road will be used to climb the mountain range toward São José dos Campos.

According to the state government, there is no forecast for the duration of this operation.
