The Brazilian passport is the 21st most powerful in the world. The document allows access to 170 countries without a visa.

The country shares the 21st position with San Marino in the “Henley Passport Index” (a ranking index based on the number of destinations its holders can access without a visa).

Of the 170 countries with visa-free access, 3 need the eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization), and 41 need a visa upon arrival at their destination.

According to the survey, Brazil dropped two positions compared to the year 2022.

The 5 most powerful passports in the world are from Japan (access to 193 countries), Singapore (access to 193 countries), South Korea (access to 192 countries), Germany (access to 191 countries), and Spain (access to 191 countries).

The 5 documents with the worst accessibility are those of Afghanistan (access to 27 countries), Iraq (access to 29 countries), Syria (access to 30 countries), Pakistan (access to 32 countries), and Yemen (access to 34 countries).

The “Henley Passport Index” uses Iata (International Air Transport Authority) information, including 199 different passports and 227 travel destinations.
