Bolsonaro’s expenses: what is the hotel where the former president spent US$270,000

During his term, former president Jair Bolsonaro had a favorite destination: the Ferraretto Hotel, in Guarujá, São Paulo.

The expenses made on his corporate card, which became public as shown by a report by UOL, reveal that Bolsonaro paid R$1.4 million (US$270,000) in stays at this hotel during his four years at the Planalto Palace.

Located in the center of the city, the Ferraretto has a structure similar to that of other medium-sized hotels on the São Paulo coast — it is also close to the well-known Pitangueiras Beach, one of the busiest in the region.

The establishment has 133 apartments, in addition to an outdoor pool, gym, restaurant, games room, spa, dry sauna, cyber room, bar and exclusive concierge for bathers with showers.

Among the comforts offered to guests are also a beach structure, with a chair, umbrella and towel on demand, the availability of using the Baby Kitchen on the 11th floor to prepare meals for small children — parents have a microwave and sink — in addition to bathtubs and cribs for babies.

Each of the accommodations has LCD cable TV, telephone, minibar, electronic safes and Wi-Fi. There are four types of rooms in the house: the Luxury and the Superior, for up to two people, in addition to the Triple and the Quadruple, which, as the names suggest, accommodate three to four guests and, therefore, end up being a little more expensive. The

There is practically no difference in the amenities offered by each type of apartment. The upgrade from the Superior room to the Luxury room, for example, involves a TV with a larger screen — from 26 inches to 32 inches — in addition to the extra convenience of an anteroom next to the bedroom and a slightly larger bathroom.

For this Thursday (12), the daily rates of available apartments cost between R$ 847 and R$ 949, but it is possible to get much cheaper values by booking in advance. Rates for the night of February 5th to 6th, for example, vary between R$541 and R$670.

With a capacity for up to 200 people, the hotel’s restaurant, Cocar, has three environments: an internal lounge with air conditioning and two 50-inch TVs, an external space overlooking the pool bar and, finally, the last external environment in the direction from the garden.

Part of its service is live music nights, on Fridays and Saturdays, with MPB, pop, 80s rock and covers by Tim Maia.
