On Thursday night, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro revealed that "Venezuela has had a growth, in 2022, above 15 percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the highest economic growth in Latin America and the Caribbean".
Likewise, during his annual message before the Venezuelan Parliament, the president underlined that last year's tax collection reached an increase of 97 percent with respect to 2021.
In this regard, he detailed that "as an expression of the economic growth, 4.74 billion dollars were collected, entirely invested in salaries, education, health, and housing construction".
