Argentina closes 2022 with 6% growth, highlights President Fernández

Argentine President Alberto Fernández stressed Thursday that the South American country will close 2022 with a 6% growth, with “investment record” and an improvement in employment rates.

The president led the traditional year-end toast on this day with accredited journalists at the Government House, where he highlighted the economic indicators and predicted a “good” 2023 for the country.

“Argentina is finally growing close to 6%, employment is growing at a rate of 0.5% per month. We have created more than one and a half million jobs” in 2022, Fernández said.

The president added that “investment in Argentina has been measured since 1993 and this year we have a record investment in Argentina.”

“As a country that we are, each of us has to do our part, have a very clear direction, not listen to criticism that is unfair, realize that sometimes you have to change, and be prepared for those changes,” said the Argentine president.

The president stressed that “if you review, you will find a lot of very positive data in Argentina and I believe that each of us has to do our part” in 2023.

Fernández gave the Argentine soccer team, which recently won the World Cup in Qatar 2022, as an example, and wished “health and work for everyone. Things are going to improve,” he said.
