Brazil: Financial market raises expectations for GDP growth to 3.05% in 2022

Market economists increased the Brazilian GDP forecast for 2022 from 2.81% to 3.05%.

The information is contained in the “Focus” report, released by the Central Bank (BC) this Monday (05).

In all, more than 100 financial institutions were heard by the BC last week about the projections for the economy.

For 2023, the GDP growth forecast rose from 0.70% to 0.75% (Photo internet reproduction)

The projection for economic growth this year was raised after the release of the GDP result for the 3rd quarter of this year, which, according to the IBGE, increased by 0.4%.

It was the 5th increase in a row in quarterly GDP.

As for 2023, the GDP growth forecast rose from 0.70% to 0.75%.

By sanctioning the law that provides for the 2023 budget guidelines, the federal government reported that the forecast is for GDP to grow 2.5% next year.
