The day Messi named the only two clubs he would play for in Brazil

Lionel Messi is undoubtedly one of the best players of this century.

It is also not far-fetched to put him on the list of the greatest in history, with some even calling him the greatest, ahead of names like Pelé and Maradona.

And because of this status and his enormous quality, it is common for the athlete to be the “dream” for their heart clubs in the minds of many fans.

This is no different in Brazil, where the Argentine wears the jersey of major Brazilian soccer clubs in several works of art made by fans.

However, what many do not know or do not remember is that in 2011 Messi was asked in an interview with the children’s magazine Recreio about the possibility of playing in Brazil, and at that time he named two clubs where he would like to play.

When asked about the topic, Messi stressed his respect for Brazilian soccer and revealed that among the numerous Brazilian clubs, he would love to play in the colors of two teams from São Paulo.

Messi also didn’t miss the opportunity to express his admiration for Brazilian players, stating that among his greatest idols are names like Ronaldo Nazario, Deco, Cafu, and Silvinho.
