A 63-year-old man was run over on Monday morning, September 19, in Leblon, in Rio de Janeiro’s South Zone. According to the Fire Department, the older man died on the spot.
According to witnesses, he was pedaling along the bike path on Avenida Delfim Moreira when, at the time of Rua José Linhares, he lost his balance, fell, and was hit by a bus.
Rio’s State Police said that the bus driver drove away without giving any help. Leblon’s Police will investigate.
