Mexican armed forces show their strength in a new issue of La Fuerza de Mexico

After two pandemic years, the Mexican Air Force (FAM) again held its traditional air show ‘La Fuerza de México’ at Santa Lucía Military Airfield No. 1.

This is adjacent to the new Felipe Angeles International Airport in Mexico. More than 100 FAM aircraft were on display.

The show’s eighth edition featured 106 fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft, including Sikorsky UH60 Black Hawks, Pilatus PC-7, Beechcraft T-6 Texan II, and Northrop F-5 E/F Tiger II.

The Airborne Division of the National Guard was formed for the first time.

The show was opened by paratroopers from the National Guard, Navy, and Army who jumped off at 100 kilometers per hour.

Although this show usually lasted an hour and a half, it was extended to three hours because three commercial flights were expected from Angeles Airport.

In addition, for the past month and a half, the various flying groups of the National Guard and the Mexican Navy have been gathered in Santa Lucia to participate, along with the FAM, in the air parade on Wednesday, September 16, on the occasion of the 212th anniversary of Mexican independence.
