Consumer confidence index grows in Paraguay

The Consumer Confidence Index (ICC) in Paraguay stood at 50.1 in August, an increase compared to July (46.6) and lower than that of the eighth month of 2021 (51.8), the Paraguayan Central Bank reported today.

Concerning the ICC components, the Economic Situation Index rose compared to last July but was slightly below August 2021.

For its part, the Economic Expectations Index is at a higher level than the level observed in July, although slightly below the index of August of the previous year, according to a bulletin of the financial entity.

A survey conducted in August showed that the percentage of people who consider it a good time to make purchases of household appliances remained at the same level.

Meanwhile, the percentage of respondents who said that it is a good time to buy houses, cars, and motorcycles decreased, the Central Bank said.
