Mayors, governors, and deputies of the Venezuelan National Assembly will be elected by universal suffrage in 2025, Nicolás Maduro said on national television.
Each of the offices mentioned by the Venezuelan leader during an event with the youth of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela will be renewed following the Constitution.
"Let's prepare for the great victory in the presidential elections of 2024, and let's get ready because, in 2025, there will be joint elections: National Assembly, governorships, and mayoralties," Maduro said, awaiting official approval from the National Electoral Council.
