Brazil: Baby born on Rio’s Yellow Line, on its way to the hospital

A baby was born on Saturday, September 10, on Rio’s Yellow Line.

In labor and on the way to the hospital, the child’s mother was assisted by teams from the concessionaire Lamsa around 5:50 PM.

The baby was born shortly after, at 6:05 PM, with 3.30 kg and 47 cm in the concessionaire’s mobile ICU. The team on duty performed the delivery.

A doctor, a nurse, and a nursing technician were approached on the road by the pregnant woman’s neighbor, who was driving her to the Carmela Dutra Maternity Hospital in Lins de Vasconcelos.

The neighbor accidentally took a wrong turn and stopped in the lane to ask for information. He didn’t notice that he was talking to health professionals.

Upon noticing the emergency, the Lamsa team assessed the pregnant woman, removed her from the car, and took her to the mobile ICU, where she was delivered.

The baby, a boy, was born healthy. The child and the mother received postpartum care and were taken to the Carmela Dutra Municipal Maternity Hospital. Both are well.

In July, a baby was born in the middle of the Rio-Niterói Bridge. The parents were on their way to the maternity ward but could not arrive in time. The mother went into labor in the early morning of July 20.

The grandmother was called in haste to take the couple, who were in Itaipu in Niterói, to the maternity hospital in Flamengo, Rio de Janeiro City.

But Noah was born when they were in the middle of the bridge, at the height of the Central span. In the register of the little one, the place of birth is Presidente Costa e Silva Bridge, Rio de Janeiro.
