Americans and Germans want air tickets to Brazil the most

A survey conducted by an airline ticket search engine has revealed that Europeans, Americans, and Latin Americans most often seek tickets to Brazil.

The survey was conducted by evaluating round-trip flights from all airports worldwide with destination Brazil between January and June for flights between June and December this year.

The United States, Germany, Portugal, France, and the United Kingdom top the rankings.

In Latin America, Argentina and Chile are the countries that have searched the most for the national territory as a destination in the second half of the year.

The study also looked at which Brazilian destinations are most sought after by other countries for travel in the second half of the year during the first six months of the year.

São Paulo leads the ranking, followed by the city of Rio de Janeiro, but it is the northeast where more cities are searched, with searches for flights to five destinations.

The Ministry of Tourism’s latest International Tourism Demand Survey showed that in 2019, before the pandemic, 95.4% of international tourists who visited Brazil expressed interest in returning, and 9 out of 10 liked Brazilian hospitality.

In addition, recent Central Bank data indicated that foreign tourist spending in Brazil increased by 90% in the first five months of the year, from just over US$1 billion (R$5.17 billion) in 2021 to US$2 billion (R$10.3 billion).
