Google: Bolsonaro is the most searched candidate in all Brazilian states

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro is leading users’ curiosity on Google. Data from the platform shows that his name has been searched more than Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s in all Brazilian states and the Federal District.

The highest proportion of searches for Bolsonaro’s name occurs in Roraima (61%). The lowest is registered in Ceará (53%). Thus, Ceará voters have the highest curiosity for Lula (47%) and Roraima voters the lowest (39%).

The data is from a search engine conducted between 5:30 PM on Sunday, August 28, and 5:30 PM on Monday, August 29.

On Monday, the two politicians faced each other in the first debate between the candidates for the Presidency of the Republic, held by Bandeirantes Network.

The program also featured Ciro Gomes (PDT), Simone Tebet (MDB), Soraya Thronicke (União Brasil), and Luiz Felipe D’Avila (Novo).

As Oeste reported, the current president of the Republic is also the candidate who moved Google users the most in the seven days leading up to Sunday’s debate.

In the weekly clipping, Bolsonaro appears with 45% of searches, and Lula with 37%. In sequence are Ciro Gomes (8%), Simone Tebet (5%), Soraya Thronicke (2%), and Luiz Felipe D’Avila (2%).

The candidates Roberto Jefferson (PTB), Eymael (DC), Léo Pericles (UP), Vera Lúcia (PSTU), and Sofia Mazano (PCB) had 0%.
