Cristiano Ronaldo is rejected by another club and is likely to stay in Manchester: “Old and expensive”

Cristiano Ronaldo’s future looks more like staying in Manchester. Given his desire to leave the Premier League club, Borussia Dortmund was the last hope of the star in this market.

Still, according to the “Bild” newspaper, a deal will not happen for two reasons: Age and salary.

It is not news that Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave Manchester United this season. The Portuguese star considers the Champions League as his main goal, and finding clubs in the UEFA competition is the priority of the number 7.

But rejections are the order of the day for the 37-year-old, and with Borussia Dortmund, another club has no interest in the five-time World Player of the Year. According to the newspaper, the reason is Ronaldo’s age and especially his salary.

Currently, at Manchester United, CR7 receives a salary of 550,000 pounds (US$652,000) per week. However, the player knows that a contract with another club is impossible for this amount.

Even if the salary changed, it would be higher than what Borussia could pay.

Age is also a factor keeping Cristiano from a new club. At 37, it is clear to those interested that Ronaldo no longer has the physical condition to play in a season contested by teams that put pressure on defense and attack.
