Brazil, Mexico: Latin American countries with highest crypto and blockchain talent demand

The latest joint report between LinkedIn and cryptocurrency exchange OKX revealed that Brazil and Mexico are in the top 10 countries worldwide with the highest demand for human resources talent specialized in blockchain technology.

The LinkedIn and OKX report pointed out the United States, China, France, India, Germany, United Kingdom, Brazil, Mexico, Spain, and Canada as the nations with the highest demand for talent specialized in crypto and blockchain.

The report exposes that across the ten countries, the annual posting rate of crypto and blockchain vacancies is growing as follows:

  • United States: 82%
  • China: 78%
  • France: -11
  • India, 145%
  • Germany: 82%
  • United Kingdom: 60%
  • Brazil: 518%
  • Mexico: 190%
  • Spain: 609%
  • Canada: 560%

LinkedIn and OKX emphasize that the demand for talent is concentrated in countries where cryptocurrency adoption has grown in the last year:

“It is worth noting that among the top 10 countries with blockchain talent, blockchain job openings in the USA, China, India, UK, Singapore, Canada, and other countries multiplied in 2021. LinkedIn Talent Insights shows that these countries will continue to grow in talent demand based on the number of job openings in the first half of 2022.”

The most required profile in the blockchain industry is financial talent, while the quality control analyst is growing rapidly. Other profiles required within the ecosystem are engineering, business development, information technology, and sales.

Financial talent is in demand at 19%, engineering at 16%, and business and IT profiles are tied at 6%.

“Specifically, among the top five global blockchain talents, the most popular occupations are cryptocurrency traders, software engineers, analysts, support analysts, and account managers.”
