In November of 2022, the Latin American Architecture Biennials Network REDBAAL will celebrate its first ten years of fruitful existence and celebrated them by calling for the Fourth Edition of the Oscar Niemeyer Award for Latin American Architecture, the great ON-04 award.
This August, the jury’s decision was announced with the first three places, recognizing the work of architects from Brazil and Mexico.
This prize is considered the most important award in Latin America for valuing the best architectural production in its countries.
It is awarded every two years, and only works previously awarded by Latin American architecture biennials can participate in the ON Prize.
It arises as an initiative of the Network of Latin American Architecture Biennials -REDBAAL-, founded in Quito through the Constitutive Act subscribed on November 23, 2012, within the framework of the XVIII Pan American Biennial of Architecture of Quito, BAQ 2012.
The award ceremony of this Fourth Edition of the ON Award will be held next October in Buenos Aires, Argentina, coinciding with the development of the XVIII International Biennial of Architecture of Buenos Aires BIENALBA.
