Ethereum community arrives in Bolivia

The adoption of cryptocurrencies in Latin America is reaching more and more countries. In the heart of the continent’s south, Bolivia is the new lobby for a community that is emerging and revolving around Ethereum, the second largest blockchain by value.

The Ethereum Bolivia Community, an organization led by enthusiasts of the system, was launched a few days ago. Live-streamed directly from Bolivia was the first event organized by a conglomerate of professionals aimed at mass adoption of cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ether in the South American country.

Pedro Rey Puma, one of the community organizers, recalled during the presentation that before Bolivia, the initiative had already been implemented in cities in other countries such as Chile, Colombia, and Brazil.

The number of cryptocurrency users in Bolivia is gradually increasing, even though the system has been vetoed since 2014.

The arrival of the Ethereum community in Bolivia comes against a backdrop of increasing and active adoption. The number of cryptocurrency users is gradually increasing, even though the system has been vetoed since 2014.

Rey Puma, who is from Bolivia but has spent much of his life in Argentina and has been active in the cryptocurrency scene since 2016, emphasized that the Ethereum community wants to help those who have doubts.

One way it does this is by organizing educational events where people can participate and get involved. It is a “key,” according to the organizer.
