The city of São Paulo has the hottest July since 1984

The average maximum temperature is 25.9º C, almost 3º C above the expected value for this period; this scenario will change over the weekend.

Since 1984, this has been the hottest July recorded in the capital of São Paulo. The average maximum temperature is 25.9º C, 2.9º C above the historical average. This information was published on Tuesday (26) by Inmet (National Institute of Meteorology).

According to the Institute, the city of São Paulo could record even higher temperatures this week, with maximum temperatures reaching 29º C on Thursday (28). If the forecast is confirmed, this will be one of the hottest days of the month. The minimum should be 15º C.

A cold front is expected over the city on Friday (29). The forecast predicts squalls, sparse rain, and a sharp drop in temperature.

On Saturday (30), the maximum temperature should not exceed 19º C and the minimum 7º C.

In the city, it is not only warm but also dry. São Paulo has not had significant rain since the 10th of last month, reported the CGE (Center for the Management of Climatic Emergencies).

So far in July, scattered showers have been on alternate days with a rainfall of only 0.6 mm.
