Travel on holidays? 5 hotels in Brazil in the lists of the best in the world

The month of July is one of the most anticipated months of the year. The reason for so much euphoria can be summed up in the word vacation. For those who are not sure whether to set foot on the street or buckle up on the plane, here are some really interesting hotels for you.

1 – HOTEL COLLINE DE FRANCE

After carrying the banner of the best in the world by the Traveller’s Choice Awards in 2021, the Hotel Colline de France appears in second place in the ranking this year. Opened in 2018, the address has only 34 suites and makes guests feel like they are on European soil. Located in the city of Gramado, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, the place has a decoration of pure charm.

The furniture presents the imperial style in the finish and details. All furniture is hand-carved and plated in 24-karat gold. The sophistication doesn’t stop there. Made of 300-thread Egyptian cotton, the bedding line bears the signature of the Trussardi and Trousseau labels, while the amenities, the L’Occitane brand. The hotel seeks to offer visitors a unique experience of beauty and well-being.

The stress-free moment at the Colline de France can be done in the Bougainvillea garden. “Perfect for resting and being in contact with nature”, they wrote on the website. The stronghold includes a fire pit [hole in the ground to make a fire] in order to warm the visitors of the space on cold days. The environment has a fireplace as a way to provide relaxation to the sound of running water.

2 – HOTEL FASANO TRANCOSO

Trancoso can be described as a piece of paradise on planet Earth. The stronghold, which has attracted even the singer Beyoncé, won a hotel from the Fasano label in December. It didn’t even take six months for the address to be on the hot list of Condé Nast Traveller, a British magazine that is a reference in tourism and travel. Set on Itapororoca beach, the luxury accommodation comprises 300 hectares of native forest. One third of the area is of environmental preservation.

Hotel Fasano Trancoso is divided into five accommodation categories. In all, the space has 40 bungalows. All rooms have marble bathrooms with high pressure showers. In the more sophisticated rooms, there is a bathtub and a private terrace with sun loungers. At the address, guests can enjoy the services of the spa with a wellness pool and a menu with therapies created by the holistic therapist Fabrícia Nogueira.

3 – ROSEWOOD SÃO PAULO

Looking for glory days? Rosewood São Paulo promises to offer a thousand and one glamorous experiences to guests who book there. The six-star address guaranteed a place in the list of the 100 best hotels in the world, according to an evaluation by the magazine Travel and Leisure. Among the details appreciated by the publication is the façade surrounded by a vertical waterfall garden.

Before becoming a hotel, Rosewood was a maternity hospital, where more than 500,000 babies were born. The facilities exude sophistication, including the rooms that look like an art gallery. Interior designer Philippe Starck signs the contemporary decor. In all, the space includes 450 works by 57 artists. The walls of the rooms are adorned with guitars from great names in Brazilian music, such as Gilberto Gil.

4 – VILA KALANGO

Prepared by the TripAdvisor platform, the 2022 Travellers’ Choice Award honored Vila Kalango as the tenth out-of-the-ordinary pousada in the world. Located in Jericoacoara, Ceará, the inn combines luxury, simplicity and the charm of the local culture. Those who decide to stay at Pé na Praia can take the opportunity to learn water sports, for example, kitesurfing, longboarding or windsurfing.

Vila Kalango includes apartments, stilts and bungalows, which are distributed throughout the inn’s garden in order to offer an even greater experience for the guest to get in touch with nature. As sustainability pulses in the details of the stronghold, the rooms were built in the shape of a half moon and with materials that prestige the region. This is the case with reused coconut husks and wood, such as cumaru and massaranduba.

5 – HOTEL FASANO SÃO PAULO

In May, Hotel Fasano São Paulo won the first place in the list of the 100 best hotels in Central and South America, as published by Travel and Leisure magazine. Whoever crosses the front door, is soon faced with a contemporary design, which carries the classic vein in the smallest details. The project was conceived by architects Isay Weinfeld and Marcio Kogan. The duo took inspiration from the style of the 1930s.

The label’s first hotel, the address was opened 18 years ago. The place transmits the Italian tradition of the Fasano family. Well lit, the accommodations are spacious, some with two closets. There are four more accommodation options, such as the deluxe apartment. According to the hotel group’s website, the address offers the best hospitality and gastronomy in Terra da Garoa.

One of the attractions of Fasano São Paulo is the restaurant led by chef Luca Gozzani.
