Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru: Most sought-after destinations for winter vacations

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – For this winter break, according to data from Sky Airlines, it is expected that the warmer Brazilian destinations will be the ones to score the highest rise in demand compared to the same period in 2019.

Thus, projections point to 87% more air tickets sold for São Paulo and 54% for Rio de Janeiro. Meanwhile, for Florianópolis – one of the company’s most recent routes – about 4,000 people are expected to travel.

According to the airline, Buenos Aires in Argentina also continues to be one of the favorite vacation destinations.

For the 2022 winter vacations, 36% more passengers are projected to travel than in the same period of 2019. Mendoza will also have an increase of about 25%.

Regarding Peru, about 28,000 people are expected to travel to Lima for the winter break.

According to company data, in Chile, the city that will grow the most in ticket sales for 2022 is Osorno, with 70% more tickets sold, followed by Valdivia with 42% more passengers.

Other Chilean cities that will see an increase in visitors for these vacations are Puerto Montt (10%), Copiapó (21%), and La Serena (6%).
