Ecuador’s president reaches over 80% disapproval rating

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The public research center Perfiles de Opinión registered this Wednesday that 81% of Ecuadorians consider President Guillermo Lasso’s management very bad, which shows that the president’s approval decreased by 31% compared to last April 25.

According to the polling company, Lasso’s mandate continues to present negative numbers after the last survey in which of the 712 people interviewed, 63.92% rated his government as bad.

At the same time, the study added that in the capital Quito, the head of state obtained 73.35% of repudiation, while 22.29% considered that Lasso’s presidential administration was good and only 2.33% qualified it as very good.

Likewise, in Guayaquil, only 13% consider Lasso’s government very good, while 86% consider the presidential administration very bad.

On the other hand, the poll indicated that Vice President Alfredo Borrero has a 60.23% bad rating, and only 11% of those surveyed consider that he has had a good administration.

It is worth mentioning that the poll was conducted from June 3 to June 3, in Quito and Guayaquil, among the population in the age range of 18 to 65 years old, with a margin of error of 3.73.
