Building in Santa Catarina first in Brazil to have a “virtual butler”

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The competitive real estate market on the coast of Santa Catarina has been a “laboratory” for launching new techniques and services in the country. From the technologies invested in constructing skyscrapers, tests in wind tunnels, and super-fast elevators to installing amenities to “hook” clients and investors.

In Porto Belo, the Atmo Haus building, launched by Inspire Empreendimentos Imobiliários, will be the first building in Brazil to offer a Virtual Butler service. It is similar to an Alexa, but with “expanded” powers – the technology will control everything inside the condominium and the internal area of the apartments, from security measures to comfort.

It will be possible, for example, to open the garage door without needing a control, to enter the house without having the key, and stop at the correct floor without having to touch the elevator button.

The assistant will recognize the resident and automatically release the access to the garage, monitoring the route – but it is also prepared to identify, for example, the company of a stranger. If this is the case, it will trigger the security measures. The Virtual Butler will have already activated the elevator when parking the car.

The technology will use artificial intelligence to produce an interactive dashboard to make the routine easier. If the resident has the habit of leaving for work at a specific time but is late, the assistant will send them route options with less flow.

It is possible to program the Virtual Butler for each resident’s characteristics, hobbies, and daily life. If the owner is interested in a particular subject, such as the financial market, the dashboard will display data about the Stock Exchange.

“The Virtual Butler makes this an intelligent building that provides new experiences and more quality of life, comfort, and safety to the residents. It is the first in Brazil, but we are sure that this technology will become a reference in the country,” says Fabrício Pavesi, partner of Inspire Empreendimentos.

The technology will also control the LED lighting of the building’s façade, which will be interactive. The light effects will be altered according to the environment and commemorative dates – and it is possible to program a light show for a resident’s birthday.

The building will be built 150 meters from the sea and have 28 floors, with 61 high standard apartments. All will have three suites and two parking spaces, with pre-installation for electric cars. The project is all sustainable, with rainwater capture and reuse, clean energy generation with photovoltaic panels, energy generation with elevator braking, and ultra-efficient micro-processed LED lighting.
