Brazil’s Americanas suspends e-commerce servers; websites offline due to “unauthorized access”

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – In addition to information disclosed through a Notice to the Market on Saturday, February 19, Americanas S.A. (AMER3) on Sunday reported that it again proactively suspended part of its e-commerce environment servers and promptly triggered its response protocols as soon as it identified an unauthorized access.

“The company is using technical resources and specialists to assess the extent of the incident and safely restore the e-commerce environment as quickly as possible. The company reiterates that it works under strict protocols to prevent and mitigate risks. Physical stores did not have their activities interrupted and continue operating,” it noted.
