Cryptoback is here: Brazil’s Méliuz announces bitcoin, digital account and credit card cashback in new app

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Just days after releasing a solid operational preview that earned XP praise, Méliuz (CASH3) unveiled more news to the market. The cashback platform on Monday, January 31, announced the launch of an app with new offers in its financial services portfolio.

The company will now offer a free digital account, a new credit card and investment in bitcoin. Thus, users will be able to shop and carry out financial operations in the same app.

According to Méliuz, joining the services is in line with its goal to “expand its operations in the financial segment and be present throughout its users’ purchase journey, offering a fluid and complete experience and taking more quality traffic and sales to partners.”

The functions that customers are familiar with, such as cashback and mobile phone top-up and delivery and transportation apps will continue to be offered. Check out all the new services:

  • Sending and receiving Pix;
  • Buying and selling bitcoin;
  • Use of balance to make cash purchases using the account credit card;
  • ATM withdrawals;
  • Request and control the new Méliuz Platinum Credit Card, with no annual fee and with cashback and cryptoback;
  • 24-hour online service, available from the app itself.

For now, the first version of the new app will be gradually released to Méliuz customers. Anyone who does not yet have access may continue to use the former app until the launch reaches the entire base.

And the waiting list is long, at least for the credit card. Also according to the company, over 700,000 people have signed up to the waiting list and will be prioritized for credit analysis.

With the Mastercard Platinum flag, the new card will be international, free of annuity, and will reach the market with credit, debit, and prepaid functions.

“In addition, it includes innovations such as rewards in cryptocurrencies and greater security for being the first card in Brazil to be issued without a magnetic stripe, which encourages the use of the contactless function and makes it difficult to clone the card,” the company highlights.
