“Bolivia, our homeland, in terms of economic growth in the first half of 2021, ranked among the three fastest-growing economies in South America,” he said.

“We have reversed the recession registered in 2020 of at least 12.6 percent”, explained Montaño in a press conference (Photo internet reproduction)

He emphasized the stability of the prices of the basic family basket that in 2021 closed with the index of 0.9%, which meant the lowest inflation rate in the region.

“We want to make known these important data, 8.9 percent in the economy’s growth to the third quarter of the 2021 management. We have reversed the recession registered in 2020 of at least 12.6 percent”, explained Montaño in a press conference.

Likewise, he highlighted the reestablishment of the limits of the productive portfolio and social interest housing credits that were reduced in the management of the de facto government of Jeanine Áñez.

“The limits of the productive portfolio and social interest housing credits that were reduced during the administration of Mrs. Jeanine Áñez, who wanted to make AEvivienda disappear, have been reestablished,” he explained.

He explained that to reactivate the public investment of the subnational governments, governorships, and mayors’ offices, which was paralyzed in the 2020 administration, a trust fund was created to support the reactivation with a loan of more than BOB 2 billion (US$290 million), who can still access this credit.

“Ninety-five projects have been approved for 29 municipalities and four governors’ offices”, he added.
