RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Argentina’s National Institute of Statistics and Census (Indec) calculated that Argentina’s trade surplus reached US$14.75 billion in December 2021, which represented an increase of US$735 million compared to 2020.
This surplus was the result of a 42% increase in exports, which reached US$77.934 billion, and a 49.2% increase in imports, totaling US$63.184 billion.

In December alone, Argentina exported US$6.587 billion, of which US$2.340 billion were agricultural manufactured goods, followed by industrially manufactured goods with US$1.917 billion.
TRADE BALANCE BY COUNTRY
Among Argentina’s main trading partners, the country only has a deficit, with three of them: Brazil with US$118 million, Spain with US$23 million, and China with US$1.160 billion.
On the other hand, the surplus with Chile reached US$354 million, while with India it was US$386 million and with the United States, it reached US$33 million.
