“Endless” anaconda: Brazilian photographer finds giant snake in expedition

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The photographer Daniel de Granville, 52, drew attention on social networks after sharing a record he made of an “endless” anaconda. The video, shot in August 2021 in the region of Bonito (MS) – where the professional lived for 27 years and worked as a tour guide and expeditions – was published on Saturday (15/1).

To Metrópoles, Granville, who now lives in Florianópolis (SC), reported that the animal, affectionately called by him “graceful giant”, would be over 6 meters long.

The photographer says that, despite so many adventures, he hasn’t had any “trouble” in his experiences.

“During the expeditions, we were never attacked, no one was hunted or injured, but we are very careful. We have a very detailed briefing, prior orientation meetings with the clients and the whole team about what can and cannot be done with the anacondas. You can’t catch them, you can’t touch them, you can’t even touch them with your hands, you can only look at them, take pictures, film them, respect their space and their escape route to avoid any problems,” the expert stressed.
