Chilean Navy tenders surveillance and communications equipment for Immediate Response Group

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The Directorate of Security and Maritime Operations (Dirsomar) of the General Directorate of Maritime Territory and Merchant Marine (Directemar) of the Chilean Navy opened a process for the purchase of surveillance and communications equipment for the Immediate Response Group (GRI) for an estimated maximum amount of US$22,000.

The tender comprises a DJI Matrice 300 RTK remotely piloted aircraft (ART) with a maximum transmission distance of 15 km, a maximum flight time of 55 minutes, maximum flight altitude of 7,000 meters, operating temperature of -20 to 50°C, and rain-resistant.

The drone, needed for search tasks, will have six-way detection and positioning, hot-swappable batteries, and an anti-collision beacon. The aircraft will be delivered with an additional Zenmuse H20T camera, six batteries in total, and a battery charging station.

VHF COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT AND DIVE CAMERA RECORDER

The second process item is acquiring six Motorola DGP 8550E VHF communications equipment with Bluetooth 4.0, integrated Wi-Fi, radio frequency encryption capability, a power greater than or equal to 5W, and availability of UHF and VHF frequency bands.

The black radios will be submersible (IP57) and waterproof. They will have a digital display with day and night mode and GPS function and include two batteries with a duration of up to 29 hours, antenna, and belt clip.

The last line of the Chilean Navy’s GRI equipment tender includes a 22 x 4 x 11 cm and 0.5 kg diving camera recorder with GP2 processor, 5.3K60 and 4K120 resolution, ISO 1,600 sensitivity Hypersmooth 4.0 stabilization, and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.

It will have 23mp, LCD screen, 4K Ultra HD definition, 3,840 x 2,160 resolution, lithium-ion battery, and USB power system. The supplier shall provide a case plus charging cable, a protective case and submersible up to 60 meters, and a class 10 micro SD memory card with a minimum capacity of 64 GB.

CLOSING DATE FOR BIDS: JANUARY 25

Participants shall attach technical data sheets in Spanish and photographs of the new items offered following the minimum technical specifications required, which are essential for their use, indicating whether or not they are met.

The brands and models indicated are for reference only; however, in the case of an equivalent product, it must contain the same or higher technical specifications of the bidding conditions.

The bids must indicate the brand, model, and characteristics of the product offered and comply with each of the minimum requirements demanded for each of the bidding items.

Bids that exceed the available budget per item or exceed the maximum period of 45 days for delivery of the items, which will begin to run after 24 hours from the issuance of the purchase order, will be declared inadmissible.

Companies interested in participating in the bidding process must upload their proposals to mercadopublico.cl until January 25, and the result of the award will be published on February 25.
