Covid-19: Paraguay will soon require vaccination certificates from foreigners

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Dr. Francisco Lopez, director of Surveillance and Border Control, mentioned that Paraguay would soon update its entry protocol. With that, the vaccination certificate with the complete scheme would be required for foreigners.

“It is being seen with the technical team, and this update is going to be done. Generally, this protocol is updated every month, according to the epidemiological situation occurring at the regional and world level. Vaccination would be a requirement to enter the country”, he said in an interview with the radio station at 730 AM. He said that probably next week, there would be more information on the matter.

However, he clarified that “the nationals are not going to be denied entry, but there will be exceptional cases with the case of vaccination, it is important to analyze everything”.

On the other hand, he mentioned that “for the entry of a child into Paraguay, tests are not required as they are for children over 12 years of age, but the traveler’s affidavit must be completed by the parents”.
