Drop in Brazil October industrial production led by 5 main states, although 9 grew – IBGE

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Five states were responsible for the 0.6% drop in national industrial production from September to October of this year, among them São Paulo, the country’s largest industrial park, with a 3.1% retreat.

The national fall was not more remarkable because nine of the 15 places surveyed had high production in the period, especially the Northeast (5.1%), Mato Grosso (4.8%), and Ceará (4.1%). Goiás remained stable.
